In the story “Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha,” Saad, who has always harbored feelings for his cousin Maheer, fails to confess his love to her. This leads to a turn of events where Areeb, another character, enters their lives, and a misunderstanding causes a rift between the three. As a result, their trust in each other gets shattered.

Areeb, portrayed by Zaviyaar Naumaan, comes from a wealthy family and is their only son. He takes pride in his accomplishments and is confident in his abilities. He has a preference for the finer things in life.

Saad, played by Wahaj Ali, is Maheer’s cousin in the story. As they grew older, their friendship blossomed into love. Saad deeply loves Maheer and is willing to compromise his self-respect for her. However, Maheer does not reciprocate his feelings.

Azhar, who is Maheer’s father and works in a private company, values respect more than money and desires his daughter to be happy. He intends for her to marry his nephew Saad.

In the story, Mohammed Ahmed portrays Agha Jan, the patriarch of the family comprising his wife and three daughters. Agha inherited an ancestral mansion that many extended family members also claim ownership of, causing him to attend court hearings five days a week.

Mira Sethi plays the role of Samiya, Agha Jan’s eldest daughter. After finishing her studies, Samiya started a small business selling decorative items to support herself. Although engaged, her in-laws have postponed the wedding for three years, and she appears unhappy with the situation.

Qudsia Ali portrays Taniya, Agha Jan’s youngest and most beloved daughter. Taniya has faced body shaming since childhood but is currently studying filmmaking and aspires to succeed in her field.

Vaneeza Ahmed as Sofia is Agha Jan’s sister and a guiding force for her nieces. She wants her rightful share of her father’s property from Agha. Although she dislikes Agha but loves his family. She is a widow and has been living her life on her terms.
