Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has announced an increase of Rs10 per litre in the price of petrol for the next 15 days.
The finance minister announced the petrol price hike in a late-night live address. As a result, petrol price increased to Rs 282 per litre, whereas high-speed diesel (HSD) and light diesel oil rates will remain stable at Rs 293 per litre and Rs 174.68 per litre, respectively. However, he added, the price of kerosene was being increased by Rs5.78 to Rs186.07.

The new petrol prices will be effective from 12am on Sunday.
Earlier, federal government also increased petrol prices in Pakistan from 16th March till 31st March. The petrol price was increased by Rs. 5 per litre.
