In the initial ten days of Ramadan, the Dua for the First Ashra is “RAB-BIGH-FIR WAR-HAM WA ANTA KHAIR – UR- RAAHIMEEN,” translating to “O Allah! Forgive me and have mercy on me. You are the Most Merciful of all.” These initial days are dedicated to seeking Allah’s mercy, and Muslims earnestly recite the Ramadan First Ashra dua for forgiveness. Throughout these ten days, individuals actively pursue Allah’s mercy, which manifests in acts of kindness. It is highly encouraged for Muslims to recite this dua abundantly during the initial phase of Ramadan, expressing their sincere plea for forgiveness and invoking the boundless mercy of Allah.
“Allah! Forgive me and have mercy on me. You are the Most Merciful of all”
The mentioned Quranic verse makes it clear that Muslims should actively seek mercy and forgiveness from Allah, recognizing Him as the ultimate source of mercy. Hence, there is no need to seek mercy elsewhere, as Allah is the supreme power in the Universe. The primary focus of every Muslim during the first Ashra is to actively demonstrate mercy towards others, particularly by assisting the needy and poor, as this act is highly cherished by Allah. Additionally, it involves taking good care of fellow Muslims by exercising control over one’s anger.
After the end of first Ashra of Ramadan, one can start their worship by reciting Ramadan second Ashra dua.
